  Great airport. Easy to navigate, plenty to eat and shop while you wait for your flight. Always easy to get a cab outside.

  For an airport it is well managed. You have Dunkin Donuts, Wendy's a bar and other places to choose from when departing from LPIA. Gates are clearly marked and easy to read. It is nice! You have to be vaccinated to travel, prices are expensive in the airport but it's to be expected. Service is still amazing! Lines were not that long. You just show your boarding pass and identification at the check point. Then from there, you walk through and head upstairs. Still a pleasant time to travel.

  Sharon and Miss Johnson are amazing. Phone was not working and Miss Johnson used her personal phone to help us get needed covid testing completed. Sharon was so patient and they both are amazing people. They made traveling such a better experience.

  Poor transparency for travelers. Apparently there was some sort of strike this morning and now passengers are waiting in significantly longer than expected lines to go through security. Advised to arrive 3 hours prior to flight departure but many of us have been waiting in line for over 2 hours and are not even close to the actual security line and there is no one to help! Even calling the main line who directed me to the American Airlines gate (with hopes of updates on the status of the flight or how I could rebook) was useless— the agent simply said to continue waiting and “see how it goes.” Quite frustrating. This photo is after waiting nearly 2 hours. The security gate is on the far side of the airport.

  Getting through security and border control was fairly quick - not really any queues (this was at 15:00-15:30 on a Sunday). Many of the other travelers were not prepared though - didn’t have their documentation to hand, didn’t know what needed to go through the X-ray machine etc - which slowed things down unnecessarily. And, a number of the airport staff were incredibly grumpy which was a shocking contrast to the friendliness we had experienced during our holiday. Our flight was delayed (not LPIA’s fault) but the boards all said it was on time - which was very confusing. The amenities in the terminal were decent, and it was clean and bright.
